Welcome to the Dirt Drag Racing Association
Two new features added to the DDRA
May 19, 2009
After their first rain out in the brief history of the Louisiana Off Road Race Park (LORRP) and Dirt Drag Racing Association (DDRA) they realized the need for a better way to communicate under these circumstances. Today the two joined together to offer two new features to help eliminate situations like this past weekend.
First, there is a now a phone number (318-452-6833) you can call and hear a recorded message with the very lastest information on races. It will be update as often as possible with concerns about the weather or cancellations and will always give general race information.
This idea lead to a spin-off and text messges. Just click here and email us the phone number you want to receive text updates. This will be used for updates, reminders, and primarily for weather and cancellation condiditions.
Rescheduled mud races add Saturday races too

Sunday will feature the AMRA sanctioned points races. Gates open at 8 A.M. with registration and Tech in from 9 A.M. until 12 noon. Races starts at 12:30 P.M.

DDRA adds complete video coverage for your races
May 12, 2009 Jonesville, La.
Another new addition to the DDRA sidelines this racing season will be Live List Tv Video Productions and Ms. Jettie Watson.
“As a result of work done at other racing events, David McMillin was kind enough to invite us to be a part of the ever growing Dirt Drag Racing Association,” Ms. Watson explained. “ We were invited to film the opening day at the Louisiana Off Road Race Park in Jonesville and it was a success."
"As the owner of Live List Tv Video Productions, I, personally, didn't have a clue what dirt drag racing was, much less how it would film. The experience was not only exciting and fun but it certainly depicted the humbleness of the racers and their dedicated fans. I loved it.”
Watson also said that unlike the big national events, it is easier because you are up close and personal with racers and their fans. Not to mention, of course, a little beer, barbecue, good music, dancing with the staff and a whole lot of dirt and mud.” Read More...

Welcome to our new and improved website
May 1, 2009
The Dirt Drag Racing Association (DDRA) and the Louisiana Off Road Race Park (LORRP) are pleased to welcome you to their new and improved website.
"We are really excited about the new look and improvements," DDRA President and LORRP co-owner David McMillin said Friday at the inagural launch of the newly designed site. "We had some limitations with the old site and a few too many moving parts. This site will allow us to grow and do more things with photographs and video."
Friday's launch kept the traffic count from the old site of nearly 3,900 unique visitors since the site started in 2004.
"In the last half of last season and with the start of this season's racing we have seen a boom in visitors to our website," McMillin said, "It is just one more step in the growth of our sport, a better way to communicate and celebrate our racers, fans, and sponsors."
Full compeletion of the site is expected in the next two weeks and for the rest of the season there will be more stories about both the association and race park as well as updates on race results and profiles of DDRA members and their truck
