DDRA sets Play Day Test & Tune for March 6th

The Dirt Drag Racing Association (DDRA) based in Jonesville, La., announced their annual Play Day Test and Tune which begins the start of the Dirt Drag racing season. This year’s Play Day Test and Tune will be held Saturday, March 6th at the Louisiana Off Road Race Park (LORRP) located seven miles north of Jonesville.
“Bring your drag truck, mud truck or whatever you have to the track to test and tune,” DDRA President David McMillin said of the event.
According to McMillin the park will open at 8 AM until 5 PM with no gate fees and only $20 per truck to, “…run as many times as you would like.”
Concessions will be available.
In addition to the Play Day Test and Tune, McMillin noted the first DDRA points race will be held on Saturday, March 20th at the LORRP in Jonesville.
“We will also be adding an Arm Drop side-by-side mud racing points division to the DDRA this year,” McMillin said adding that details will be available soon on their website www.dirtdragracing.com.
“Our first Arm Drop racing at the LORRP will be held April 3rd and will be the DDRA’s first sanctioned points event in this division.
McMillin says the DDRA will host four such Arm Drop events at the LORRP and two more events at the Mississippi Off Road Race Park in Natchez, Miss.
On the dirt drag racing front, the DDRA will add two more sanctioned points races at the Loranger, La., race track.
The LORRP will host two American Mud Racing Association (AMRA) races again this year.
“We will have all the details and a complete schedule posted on our website in the next couple of weeks,” McMillin noted. “Also anyone wanting to rent or renew track spots for this year can do so during our Play Day Test and Tune.”
